Sharing our lives with our companion animals has so many benefits for our health and mental health. They can increase opportunities to exercise, get outside, and socialize. Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels. Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by giving us companionship.
Studies have shown that the bond between people and their pets can increase fitness, lower stress, and bring happiness to their owners. Some of the health benefits of having a pet include:

Increased opportunities for exercise and outdoor activities

One of the clients I work with has recently moved out of a group home. Once again, she is enjoying being in charge of her own life.
Little things have added joy and satisfaction into her days and, one of those things is having her beloved pets back with her. It has made such a difference having the unconditional love of her little dog and cat around all the time.
I understand that to many of us, owning a pet can mean everything. Creative Care aims to keep pets and their owners happy, healthy and together in their own homes for as long as possible.
I can offer help with everyday pet care while being your support worker and am very flexible. Together, we can find solutions to any issues or concerns you might have.
